FLAT BROKE ADDS REVIEW FOR MARQUETTE BLUES FEST

posted on August 8th, 2007

This year at the 2007 Marquette Area Blues Fest, the Flat Broke Blues Band will be featuring several special guests as part of their stage show.

Naming the show "The Flat Broke Blues Review featuring Doc Woodward & the Million Dollar Horns", the band will be joined by Hammond B-3 ace Doc Woodward from Northern Lower Michigan, who played the Marquette Festival in 2005 as part of the dynamic Thornetta Davis band from Detroit.

Flat Broke will also be joined by "The Million Dollar Horns", a horn section made up of some of the Central U.P.'s finest horn players. The horn section is being co-ordinated by Marquette Senior High School Band and Music Director Dr. Matt Ludwig.

Also joining the show will be some of the area's hottest up and coming players from the blues-based improvisational combo "Voodoo Brew" to create a full-fledged blues review.
